Lynda as one of our Chaplains of the Month!

Fundraising / Ways & Means:  This committee will help decide on the major fundraisers for our club for the present club year. This committee will present their recommendations to the club for voting and approval. 

Hospitality: The Hospitality Committee will provide snacks and beverages for our monthly club meetings.  Each Hospitality Team will need to select a coordinator.

The Food is always wonderful and perfect for each occasion!

Sunshine: This committee will bring "Sunshine" into the lives of our members as they experience sad or difficult times. They will be sure that our members are notified when someone in our Club or their families are facing a difficult time in their lives.  The Corresponding Secretary will chair this Committee.

Membership: This committee will work to ensure that we retain our current membership and secure new members.  The President- Elect will chair this committee.

Scholarship: This committee will work with the Shallotte Junior Women's Club to select a high school senior for the GFWC-NC Sallie Southall Cotten Scholarship.  Our club will award a $1,000 scholarship. The time frame for this committee will be January/February to do the interviewing process and then in the month of May when the Scholarship is awarded.

This committee will interview and select the recipient of our newest scholarship: The GFWC-SBI Education Scholarship.  The winner will receive a $250 scholarship. Interviews should be concluded in time for the winner's information to be submitted to the District 7 Teaching Scholarship Chairman so that our winner will be eligible for the District Scholarship. The winner of this scholarship shall be a rising college junior.  Please refer to GFWC-NC Teaching Scholarship Rules for more information.

Chaplains for the Month: Each month a club member will provide a personally selected devotion at the beginning of the meeting. The devotion should be approximately 3 minutes.

Dollars for Delegates: This program raises money to help offset the costs of club members who represent our club at the State GFWC-NC Convention.  Each month a club member will be responsible for bringing one item (Gift, craft, etc.) to raffle off at the regular club meeting.  This club member will be responsible for selling the tickets and award the winning ticket.

By-Laws: The focus of this committee is to review the current club by-laws, recommend and make needed changes, update the by-laws as needed throughout the club year and guide the club in ensuring that we are accurately following them. The immediate Past-President shall serve as the chair of this committee.
